Exhibition of photos received for 2011 CPI Competition

The vernissage of the exhibition of photos received for 2011 CPI Competition on Trees was held on Monday, 6 February.

The exhibition will go on until 17 February on the third floor of the Palais des Nations, in the passerelle between the old building and the E building. If you haven’t been already, do go see it!

L’inauguration du Club de la Plage de l’ONU a été un bel exemple de synergie inter-clubs avec la participation du Club de Musique de l’ONU pour agrémenter l’événement et satisfaire les audiophiles et le Club Photo International pour les adeptes de l’image et des bons souvenirs.

OPENING OF THE UN BEACH CLUB – 2011 SEASON

The Committee of the UN Beach Club has the pleasure of announcing the completion of the renovation work at the UN Beach and the recent opening of the Club on 8 May 2011.

The Club is open to all employees of international organizations and their families and guests.

The new terrace structure will allow the Restaurant to be open 7 days a week throughout the 2011 season, regardless of weather conditions. Table reservations can be made at 022 731 6829.

Following on from the last CPI session on how to judge a photograph, here is a video (in French) in which the American photographer William Klein tells us, in his particular way, how he selected photos from a contact sheet, allowing us to intimately explore a photographer’s work as seen through his eyes.
